Donna Adams was born about 1840 in Michigan, married George Eldred in 1861, and died in 1916 in Michigan. She appeared in Census records from 1850 to 1910 [records].

Birth

Donna M. Adams was reported to be 10 years old in the 1850 Census, but her death certificate says she was born 4 Jun 1842. Her brother William was born Jan 1842, so the death certificate probably is wrong. She was born in Plymouth, Wayne County, Michigan.

Eldred lived in Canton, Wayne County, in 1880 [Microfilm series T9, Roll 609, Page 29C]. A George W. Eldred (born 27 Jun 1841, father Willard Eldred) died 2 Aug 1914 in Washtenaw County, Michigan [Death Records, 1897-1920, Library of Michigan (image)].

Problem: Donna Eldred was reported to be a widow in the 1880, 1900 and 1910 Censuses, but her husband appears to have lived until 1914.

Children

These three children were reported with George and Donna Eldred in the 1870 Census:

Residences

Donna Adams Eldred lived in Wayne, Ingham and Calhoun Counties in Michigan.

Death

Donna Adams Eldred died 13 Aug 1916 in Battle Creek, Michigan, and was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery [Death Records 1897-1920, Library of Michigan, record; findagrave.com].
